Scope and acceptance
These terms govern use of Humperdinck's public website and browser Studio. The desktop software is subject to the separate Desktop Software License and, for purchases, the Refund & Purchase Policy. By using a feature, you agree to comply with applicable law and the terms that are actually presented for that feature. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Current features and availability
The website provides product information, previews, and links to downloads where published. Some advertised capabilities are in development. Purchasing and initially activating a future Pro license will require a Humperdinck account. Planned sign-in options are passwordless email verification codes or magic links, Google sign-in, and Apple sign-in. No separate Humperdinck password is planned. The desktop app will continue to work offline after activation. Pro installations will be counted with randomly generated installation identifiers rather than hardware fingerprinting; users will have account controls for deactivation and recovery. Optional desktop diagnostic reporting is planned as an explicit opt-in setting, disabled by default. Users will be able to turn it off without losing their Pro license or local features. Customers may request removal of optional account/profile information; necessary purchase and license entitlement records may be retained for legally required accounting and tax periods and for legitimate lifetime-license recovery. Expired passwordless login tokens should be removed promptly, and security logs should be retained only for limited disclosed periods. Account deletion alone does not cancel a purchased lifetime software license. Humperdinck accounts, Pro purchases, and community voice publishing are limited to users aged 18 or older. Public website pages may be viewed without an account. Registration and purchase flows must require confirmation of adult eligibility; visitors must not misrepresent their age to bypass these restrictions. Account registration and checkout are not yet available on the audited public website. We may change, interrupt or discontinue preview features. No specific uptime, ongoing free feature, model availability or future release is promised.
Your content and permissions
You retain any rights you have in text, audio and other material you provide. Voices created or saved locally will remain private unless you separately and explicitly submit a selected voice to the planned Community Voice Library, after confirming that you hold the necessary rights and consent. Submissions will be limited to the selected reusable voice package, a generated preview sample, minimal public voice metadata and the required consent attestation; original source recordings, unrelated scripts and project files will not be automatically transmitted. The upload workflow will disclose the files and fields being shared before confirmation. Each new submission will be pending and unavailable to the public until approved following automated screening and review. Submission does not guarantee publication. Published voices may later be reported, reviewed, restricted or removed for violations, with a process for creators to challenge decisions once that system is established. For the planned Community Voice Library, publishers grant other users a non-exclusive license to use their published voices for lawful personal or commercial narration and creative projects, including distributing resulting audio. Downloaders may not sell, redistribute, sublicense or repackage the underlying voice files or voice packages. This permission does not authorize misleading impersonation or endorsement, and is limited by applicable third-party licenses and consent rights. A creator's voluntary removal stops new Humperdinck downloads but does not by itself revoke licenses granted to lawful earlier downloaders, who may continue to generate lawful personal or commercial audio under the original license. Continued use remains subject to exceptions for infringement, lack of required consent, fraud, and applicable legal obligations. No license can authorize use for which the publisher lacked sufficient rights. Creators may request delisting and removal from Humperdinck-hosted storage, but copies already obtained by others may not be recoverable. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and consent to use recordings, voices, performances, scripts and likenesses. Use of a third-party model or asset is subject to the applicable provider license.
Acceptable use
Do not use Humperdinck to defraud, impersonate without authorization, violate privacy or intellectual property rights, harass or threaten others, facilitate illegal activity, bypass technical safeguards or overload the hosted site. Our separate AI Voice & Consent Policy provides more detail.
AI-generated outputs
Synthetic voices and narrations may contain errors or sound like real people. Review and verify outputs before distribution. Where appropriate or required, disclose that content is AI-generated. Do not claim a real person approved or performed an output without permission.
Third parties and links
Third-party hosting, open-source models, package repositories, and download mirrors may have their own terms. If Pro checkout launches, the selected payment processor or merchant of record will be identified before purchase, together with applicable checkout terms, seller identity and tax treatment. No payment provider has yet been selected or integrated under these draft commercial terms. We do not control all external resources.
No warranty; limits
To the extent permitted by law, preview features are supplied as available without a promise that they are error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes consumer protections or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any additional liability limitation must be reviewed and set out in the final commercial terms.
Governing terms and disputes — publication required
Humperdinck is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Texas, United States. The legal operator name and final governing-law and dispute provisions will be published before paid services launch. Mandatory consumer protections remain applicable.
Contact — publication required
A monitored legal contact channel will be provided before account and paid services launch.
