License grant
Subject to the final published purchase terms and applicable third-party licenses, Humperdinck grants a personal or organizational right to install and use the software on devices you control for lawful voice and narration work. This is a license to software, not transfer of ownership of Humperdinck's code, branding or proprietary assets.
Free and Pro editions
The Free edition may have feature or usage limits. Humperdinck Pro is planned as a one-time purchase granting a lifetime software license with up to 10 activated installations per license. Each activated installation will use a randomly generated installation identifier associated with the customer's license, rather than collected hardware serial numbers or a hardware fingerprint. Customers will be offered account-based management, deactivation and recovery for lost or replaced installations. A Humperdinck account is required to purchase and initially activate Pro, and both account registration and Pro purchase are limited to customers aged 18 or older. Planned authentication methods are passwordless email codes or magic links and Google or Apple sign-in; a standalone Humperdinck password is not required. The checkout must disclose which features are included and any installation requirements. If a purchaser requests account/profile deletion, optional profile details will be removed while the minimum necessary purchase and entitlement records may be retained to verify ownership and provide license recovery. Account deletion alone does not terminate a valid lifetime license; previously activated devices remain usable offline.
Meaning of lifetime
A Pro purchase grants continued use of Humperdinck Pro and includes all future Humperdinck Pro software updates without further software-license charges. It does not guarantee perpetual support for every operating system, hardware configuration, third-party model, or separately offered online service. Any later separately priced product or service must be identified as such before purchase.
Permitted and prohibited use
Use the software and outputs lawfully. Do not distribute proprietary binaries or license credentials without permission, remove legal notices, or use the software to clone or impersonate a person without the necessary authority. These restrictions do not limit rights under mandatory law or rights granted under open-source component licenses.
Your projects and outputs
You retain rights in your own input materials and any rights you may have in generated outputs, subject to third-party rights and applicable law. We do not warrant that AI-generated output is copyrightable, exclusive or free of similarity to others' content.
Offline models and updates
An Internet connection and Humperdinck account sign-in are required for the initial Pro activation on each device. After successful activation, the licensed Pro application is intended to remain usable offline permanently on that activated device, including when the Internet is unavailable; periodic online re-verification or account sign-in is not required for continued local use. Initial setup, installation of additional speech models, software updates, and optional network features may require Internet access. Compatibility can change with operating systems and model providers. You are responsible for backing up work and meeting third-party model license conditions.
Third-party components
Open-source libraries and models remain governed by their own licenses, which prevail where applicable. Review the Third-Party Licenses page and packaged notices.
Termination and mandatory rights
Serious violations may end permission to use proprietary features, subject to applicable law. Mandatory statutory rights and already-granted open-source rights are not waived by these draft terms.
Commercial details — publication required
The intended seller is an individual sole proprietor operating Humperdinck from Texas, United States. Before Pro sales begin, the legal operator, contact channel, price, account and activation recovery procedures, retention schedule and final warranty terms will be published at checkout. An activation limit of 10 devices must not prevent the operator from offering reasonable replacement-device recovery or correction of duplicate activations. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
