Who operates Humperdinck
Humperdinck is a product operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Texas, United States. The operator's legal name and a monitored contact channel will be supplied before registration, paid checkout or community publishing opens. See the contact section below.
Information you choose to provide
When using local desktop features, you may enter text, select voices, upload recordings, and generate audio. Those materials are intended to be processed locally by the selected installed engine. Some features download model files or check for updates online. Required account registration, purchase and initial license-activation traffic are separate from optional desktop diagnostics, and do not require diagnostic consent. Do not assume all engines, plugins, or optional integrations operate offline; check their notices before enabling them.
Website and Studio
Our public pages may receive standard technical request information from our hosting provider, including IP addresses and network/security logs. The browser Studio may retrieve software or model files from Cloudflare and third-party hosting services; those providers process connection data according to their own policies. If you submit information through a feature that is not yet enabled, it is not necessarily stored.
Analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this tool as cookieless and not designed to fingerprint visitors. We may separately count page views and installer-link clicks by platform using anonymous event categories. These are aggregate measurements, not user profiles. Analytics availability depends on deployment settings. Desktop diagnostic reports are separate from website analytics. Humperdinck intends to offer optional diagnostics that are disabled by default and transmitted only after a user explicitly opts in. With consent, diagnostic reports may contain crash details, application and model errors, operating-system information and basic hardware or performance characteristics. The app must not automatically transmit recordings, scripts, generated audio or other voice-project content as diagnostics. Technical reports cannot be guaranteed anonymous merely because names are omitted; error messages, file paths or hardware details may sometimes identify a person, so reports should be minimized and scrubbed before transmission. Users must be able to withdraw consent for future diagnostic uploads.
Storage, sharing, and security
Locally saved projects, recordings and generated audio ordinarily remain under your control on your device unless you intentionally export or share them. A community upload must not occur automatically or merely because a voice was created, tested or saved; sharing requires a separate explicit publication action. Security, backups, deletion and retention on that device are your responsibility. Online services, downloads and the planned account and purchase features may involve third parties, whose applicable terms and retention periods can differ.
Future accounts, payments and community voices
A Humperdinck account will be required to purchase and initially activate a Pro license. Planned sign-in methods are passwordless email verification codes or magic links, plus Google and Apple sign-in. Humperdinck does not intend to require a separate Humperdinck account password. Email authentication will require sending a time-limited verification message, and Google or Apple sign-in may involve sharing account identifiers and selected profile information with the chosen identity service. Account registration and checkout have not yet launched on the audited public website. Once enabled, account and purchase services will necessarily process some information to identify an account, process payment through a provider and administer up to 10 device activations using random installation identifiers linked to license entitlements rather than collecting hardware serial numbers, MAC addresses or hardware fingerprints; customers will be able to manage, deactivate and recover installations through their accounts; no payment processor or merchant of record has been selected yet, and the final notice must identify the providers involved, categories of billing information shared and their roles before checkout opens; the exact fields, authentication provider, email delivery provider, payment provider, security controls, retention periods and detailed privacy choices remain to be established and disclosed before launch. The planned deletion policy allows customers to request deletion of optional profile data while keeping only necessary purchase and license-entitlement records for legitimate recovery, fraud prevention, legal obligations and honoring lifetime licenses. Required transaction records will be retained for applicable tax, accounting and other legal obligations; minimal entitlement and purchase-verification records may be retained for as long as needed to honor and recover a lifetime license, subject to applicable deletion rights. Expired one-time email sign-in codes and magic-link tokens will be invalidated and deleted promptly. Security and access logs will be kept for limited documented periods rather than indefinitely. Optional account/profile information will be deleted on verified request, except where retention is legally necessary. The actual durations and deletion procedures for each record category must be published before these services launch. Deletion of a profile is not intended to revoke a valid purchased license or stop already-activated offline copies from working. Sign-in method selection must not be represented as implemented until the production authentication flow is tested. After initial activation, the local Pro application is intended to remain functional offline without periodic online license checks. The planned Community Voice Library is strictly opt-in: voices remain local and private unless the creator explicitly chooses to publish each selected voice and confirms the necessary rights and consent. Submitting a selected voice for community review will transmit only the selected reusable voice package, a generated preview audio sample, minimal public metadata (such as the voice name and description), and the required rights-and-consent attestation to a hosted service. The original source recordings used to create the voice, unrelated scripts, narration projects and other user files must not be included automatically or silently. Before submission, the interface must show what will be uploaded and require explicit confirmation. A reusable voice package or generated sample may itself contain identifying characteristics of a person's voice and should not be described as anonymous. Submissions will remain nonpublic pending automated checks and approval, and only approved voices will become available for discovery, listening and, where permitted, downloading by others. Community members may report published voices, generating review records; submission and report records may require limited retention for security, consent review and legal purposes. Automated checks are not a guarantee that every published voice is authorized. Users may request removal of a published voice from Humperdinck-hosted listings and storage, subject to applicable retention duties. Removing a listing prevents new downloads from Humperdinck after removal is processed, but cannot guarantee deletion of copies other users have already downloaded or shared. Earlier lawful downloaders retain the originally granted personal and commercial use license despite voluntary delisting, subject to infringement, missing consent, fraud, or other legal exceptions. No community-upload service is represented as live; the exact metadata fields, voice-package format, storage providers, automated-check providers (if any), reviewer access, report handling, appeal process and retention periods must be disclosed before launch. The intended community sharing license permits lawful personal and commercial use of a published voice to produce narration or other audio outputs, but prohibits reselling or redistributing the underlying downloadable voice files. This planned license does not authorize impersonation or override the rights of recorded speakers or third-party model licensors.
Your choices and requests
You can control files saved on your device and browser privacy settings. For privacy-related requests involving data held by Humperdinck, including requests to remove optional account/profile information, use the operator contact method once published. The planned process will preserve only necessary transaction and entitlement records and offer license recovery to verified purchasers. Details of identity verification, retention periods and deletion timelines will be published before account registration launches. Deletion requests should not require unrelated personal documents or erase a legitimate purchase entitlement solely because optional profile data was removed. Applicable laws may provide additional rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain data.
Children and changes
Humperdinck accounts, Pro purchases and Community Voice Library publishing are intended exclusively for adults aged 18 or older. Visitors may browse the public website without creating an account. Humperdinck does not knowingly offer account registration or community publishing to minors; planned registration must require an affirmative age-eligibility confirmation and apply appropriate access controls. We do not intentionally solicit children's personal information through account services. If we learn that an ineligible minor has registered, we will take appropriate action consistent with applicable law, including restricting the account and addressing personal information collected. Do not upload recordings of children without the necessary rights and consents; adult uploader eligibility alone does not establish consent for another person's voice. We will update the effective date when this policy materially changes.
